2. Getting Started
2.1 Sign In
When you first open LogiCura, you'll see the Login screen.
Google Sign-In (Recommended)
- Tap the "Continue with Google" button.
- Select your Google account from the system picker.
- LogiCura will create or restore your account automatically.
Email & Password (Review Accounts)
- Triple-tap the LogiCura logo to reveal the email/password sign-in card.
- Enter your credentials and tap Sign In.
- Review accounts are set up by the LogiCura team for app store review, and those include Premium access. Signing in with an email and password does not by itself grant Premium.
Tip: Google Sign-In is the fastest and most secure way to get started. Your data is protected by Google's OAuth 2.0 security and Firebase App Check with Play Integrity.
2.2 Profile Setup (Onboarding)
After signing in for the first time, you'll be guided through profile setup. This information helps LogiCura calculate reference ranges, BMI, and tailor AI health analysis to you personally.
Step-by-step:
-
Biological Sex — Tap the Male or Female pill. This affects biomarker reference ranges.
-
Date of Birth — Tap the date field to open a calendar picker. Select your birth date. Age is used for age-adjusted reference ranges.
-
Weight — Use the horizontal scroll-wheel picker to set your weight. Swipe left or right to change the value, or tap adjacent numbers to jump.
- Switch between kg and lbs with the unit toggle on the card. The value auto-converts when you switch units.
-
Height — Use the horizontal scroll-wheel picker to set your height.
- Switch between cm and ft with the unit toggle. Auto-conversion applies.
-
Chronic Conditions (optional) — Tap + to open the conditions sheet.
- Search for conditions (e.g., "Diabetes", "Hypertension").
- Check the conditions that apply to you.
- Tap Save Conditions. They appear as pills.
-
Ethnicity — Tap the pill for your ethnicity. Some reference ranges, the BMI cut-offs and the Health Score are ethnicity-specific.
-
Tap Continue to complete setup and enter the app.
Note: Back navigation is disabled during profile setup to ensure you complete all required fields. You can always edit your profile later from the Settings screen.
2.3 Cloud Backup Restore
If you are a returning user signing in on a new device and your data exists in Firebase Cloud, LogiCura will automatically detect your cloud backup and display a Cloud Backup Restore screen.
How it works:
- After sign-in, LogiCura checks Firestore for existing user data.
- If data is found, the Cloud Backup Restore screen launches automatically.
- A progress card shows what is being restored, a progress bar and the percentage.
- Phase labels describe what is being downloaded (e.g., "Restoring biomarker data…", "Downloading measurements…", "Syncing attachments…").
- On successful completion, you're taken directly to the Home screen with all your data intact.
Error handling:
- If the restore fails, a card explains why and shows a Retry button. Tap it to resume from where the process stopped.
- If a restore still didn't finish, Settings → Restore from Cloud appears so you can run it again (see 13.6).
- If the app is closed or the device restarts during restore, the next app launch will resume from the last checkpoint — no data is lost.
- Cloud restore is mandatory when backup data exists — there is no skip option to ensure data consistency.
Note: If no cloud data exists for your account (first-time user), you'll proceed directly to the Profile Setup screen instead.
⭐ Premium Feature: Cloud Backup & Restore requires an active Premium subscription.
3. Home Screen
Home — greeting, critical alert banner, Health Score and favorite tiles Home — VIEW ALL and the action buttons Home — Recent Logs
Home is the Dashboard tab, the first of the five tabs in the bottom bar (Dashboard · Nutrition · Search · Advisor · Settings). From top to bottom it shows:
- Top bar — your avatar (opens Profile & Health), the LogiCura wordmark, and a "+" that shares your Emergency Medical ID (see 3.5)
- Greeting — "Good Morning / Good Afternoon / Good Evening / Good Night, {first name}" (by time of day) and "Here is your clinical overview for today."
- Critical alert banner — only when an out-of-range reading needs attention. It shows the biomarker and value (e.g. "SLEEP DURATION · 3.2 hours"), its priority (ACTION REQUIRED, ELEVATED TREND or MONITOR) and how long ago it was raised; Review opens Health Alerts
- Health Score hero card
- Your favorite biomarkers (up to 16) with a VIEW ALL link
- Action buttons — Medications, Clinical Documents, Biomarker Timeline, Trends Dashboard
- Recent Logs — your three newest readings
- A floating "+" button that opens Log Measurement (Quick Log)
The app always uses its single light theme, even when your phone is in dark mode.
3.1 Health Score
The green hero card shows your Health Score (0–100) on a gauge, with its band: Excellent (85+), Good (70–84), Fair (55–69) or Needs Attention (below 55).
- The score is calculated on your phone from your latest readings, adjusted for your age, biological sex, ethnicity and chronic conditions. It is not written by AI, so the same data always gives the same score.
- "Based on limited data" appears when only one or two of your biomarkers could be scored.
- With no recent scorable readings you'll see "Log a few measurements to see your score" and a Log now button.
- Tap "…" to open Your Health Score: every biomarker that went into the score (lowest first), how the score works, and a note if a recent critical reading capped it.
- The score is a wellness indicator, not a diagnosis.
3.2 Favorite Biomarkers
Up to 16 favorite biomarkers appear on Home as tiles, two per row. Each tile shows the biomarker's icon, its latest value and unit, a trend chip (green when the change is favorable, red when not), a small chart or status line, and an alarm icon when a reminder is set.
- Tap a tile → opens Biomarker History for that biomarker
- + LOG (bottom-right of each tile) → opens Biomarker Entry to log a new reading for that biomarker
- Long-press a tile → opens a sheet with View history, Reminders, Change icon & color and Remove from Dashboard
- Empty "Add to Dashboard" slots (the grid always has at least four tiles, and a lone favorite on the last row gets one beside it) → open Biomarker Management, where you choose favorites
- VIEW ALL → opens Biomarker Management with all your tracked biomarkers
You choose favorites with the heart in Biomarker Management or the Show on Dashboard switch in Biomarker Entry. If you already have 16, remove one first. After updating from an older version, Home shows the biomarkers it showed before (up to four).
Icon Customization
From the tile's long-press sheet, tap Change icon & color:
- Select an icon from the grid (Health, Activity, Body, Science and more).
- Select a color from the 24-color palette.
- Tap Save. The new icon and color appear on Home and throughout the app.
Reminders from Home
Reminders in the long-press sheet opens the Set Alarm dialog, where you can add times, choose one-time or repeating alarms, pick repeat days (M–S) and remove alarms. It is the same dialog as in Biomarker Management. (⭐ Premium)
3.3 Action Buttons
| Button | Opens |
|---|---|
| MEDICATIONS | The Medications screen: today's schedule with dose check-offs (see 12.5) |
| CLINICAL DOCUMENTS | Your clinical documents (see Section 7) (⭐ Premium) |

3.5 Emergency Medical ID
The "+" at the top right of Home generates a Medical ID PDF containing:
- Header — Name, age, sex, date of birth, blood type, height, weight and BMI, with three cards beneath:
- In Case of Emergency — each emergency contact's name, relationship and phone number; your primary contact is listed first
- Primary Care Physician — name, facility, phone and email
- Insurance — each active, unexpired policy: provider and plan, member ID, group number and coverage
- Current Medications — Names, dosages, schedules
- Chronic Conditions — All diagnosed conditions
- Known Allergies — Drug and food allergies
- Temporary Conditions — Short-term conditions (e.g., "Recovering from surgery")
- Critical Biomarkers — Latest blood pressure, glucose, heart rate, etc. (last 90 days)
- Recent Critical Clinical Documents — Hospital, surgical and diagnosis documents (last 90 days)
- Medical Disclaimer
Emergency contacts, the primary care physician and insurance come from your Profile; a card you haven't filled in says so.
How to use:
- Tap "+" at the top right of Home. (A one-time tip points it out the first time.)
- Wait while the Medical ID is generated.
- The system share sheet opens — send via WhatsApp, email, Bluetooth, or save to files.
⭐ Premium Feature: Emergency Medical ID requires an active Premium subscription.
4. Biomarker Tracking
4.1 Recording a Measurement
Log Active Calories Burned — selected biomarker, value, unit, context and category Log Active Calories Burned — Show on Dashboard, Attach Medical Report, Add note, date and time
There are two ways to log a reading:
- Log Measurement (Quick Log) — tap the floating "+" on Home. A Select Biomarker row shows your first four favorites as tiles (the first one is selected); tap More to search all your biomarkers and the catalog. Switching biomarker keeps the date, time, notes and any attached report.
- Biomarker Entry — tap a favorite tile on Home, Add Log on a biomarker's history, or Log in Biomarker Management. The biomarker is fixed.
Both open the same form as a rounded sheet titled "Log {biomarker}" (for example "Log Active Calories Burned"), with a ✕ to close it:
- Selected Biomarker card — name and icon, an Active marker, your target range ("Target: 300–700 kcal", personalised for your age, sex and conditions), your last value ("Last: 31.2 kcal") and a status pill such as Low
- Value — typed in (see 4.2)
- Unit — a drop-down beside the value when the biomarker has more than one unit (see 4.3)
- Context — Fasting, After Meal, Bedtime, Random or None (see 4.4)
- Category — a scrollable row of pills (Routine Check, Consultant Advice and more)
- Show on Dashboard — a switch that adds the biomarker to your Home favorites; the caption shows how many you have ("Favorites appear on your Dashboard (10/16)")
- Attach Medical Report — attach a lab report photo; once one is attached, an Analyze with AI button appears under it (see 4.5)
- + Add note — optional clinical notes (up to 10,000 characters)
- Date and Time — "Today" / "Now" until you pick another time
- Save Entry — a sticky button above the keyboard ("Update Entry" when editing)
Warnings appear above the button when a value is far from your personal baseline, or when a similar reading was already logged.
Edit Mode Extras: When editing an existing measurement that has a linked clinical document attachment, an "Open Clinical Document" icon button appears on the attachment card. Tapping it navigates directly to the full Clinical Document screen for that document.
A biomarker reminder notification opens Biomarker Entry for that biomarker.
4.2 Entering the Value
The value is typed into a numeric field (the old scroll wheel is gone):
- Decimal values are accepted with a dot or a comma
- Validation messages (out of the possible range, not a number) appear under the field
- Biomarkers with a fixed set of results (e.g., "Positive" / "Negative") show pills instead of a field; free-text results use a text field
- The field starts with your last reading (or the biomarker's default) so small changes are quick
4.3 Unit-of-Measure Selector
When a biomarker has more than one unit, the unit next to the value is a drop-down (e.g., mg/dL or mmol/L for glucose); otherwise it is shown as a plain suffix.
- Select a different unit to switch.
- Changing the unit updates the biomarker's default unit, so future entries and displayed values use it.
- The Health Score converts common units itself (for example mmol/L glucose), so either unit scores correctly.
Tip: You can also change units from the AI Document Processing flow — when AI detects a reading in a different unit, the default is updated automatically.
4.4 Timing Context
Many biomarkers require context about when the measurement was taken:
| Context | Used For |
|---|---|
| Fasting | Blood glucose, lipid panel (8+ hours no food) |
| After Meal | Blood glucose 2 hours after eating |
| Bedtime | Readings taken before sleep |
| Random | Any time, no specific context |
| None | No timing context |
Tap the pill for the context that applies. It affects which reference ranges are applied.
4.5 Attaching Medical Documents
You can attach a photo of your lab report, prescription, or medical document to any measurement:
⭐ Premium Feature: Attaching medical reports to measurements requires an active Premium subscription. Free users will be prompted to subscribe when tapping the attachment area.
- Tap Attach Medical Report in the Biomarker Entry screen.
- Choose from:
- 📷 Camera — Opens the Crop Camera with an adjustable crop rectangle to capture a precise area of your document
- 🖼️ Gallery — Select from your photo library
- 🔎 Recent Documents — Select from recently captured documents (horizontally scrollable thumbnail list)
- A thumbnail preview appears. Tap it for full-screen preview.
- When you're online, AI reads the readings from the report straight away (see 4.6). If it couldn't (for example you were offline), tap Analyze with AI under the attachment. The button shows "Analyzing…" while it works and "Analyzed with AI" when done.
- The document is linked to your measurement and synced to cloud (Premium).
The Document Preview dialog provides a full-screen view of the attached document with a Share button to share the document via the system share sheet.
Non-Clinical Document Detection: When the AI classifies an attached document as non-clinical (e.g., a photo of food, a receipt, or other non-medical content), a "Non-Clinical Document" warning dialog appears:
- The dialog explains that the document does not appear to be clinical or medical
- AI biomarker observations will not be shown for non-clinical documents
- You can choose to "Keep Anyway" (keep the attachment without AI analysis) or "Discard Attachment" (remove it)
4.6 AI Document Processing
When you attach a medical report, LogiCura's AI can automatically extract biomarker readings:
- Attach a document (lab report photo).
- AI processing begins automatically — a progress indicator appears above the thumbnail.
- Gemini Flash 3 Preview performs OCR to extract text from the image.
- An AI Observations Dialog appears showing:
- Known biomarkers found in the document (matched to LogiCura's catalog)
- New biomarkers detected but not yet tracked
- Checkboxes to select which readings to import (all selected by default)
- Check the readings you want and tap Make Biomarker Entries.
- Selected values are auto-populated and saved as measurement entries.
Enhanced AI Extraction: The AI engine now extracts all clinically meaningful results from lab reports, not just numeric values. This includes:
- Qualitative results — "Positive", "Negative", "Reactive", "Non-Reactive", "Present", "Absent"
- Semi-quantitative results — "Trace", "+", "++", "+++", "Few", "Many", "Occasional"
- Categorical results — "Clear", "Pale Yellow", "Cloudy", "Straw", "Amber"
- Nil/Absent markers — "NIL", "NONE", "NOT DETECTED" (clinically meaningful and preserved)
This means full panel reports like Urine Full Reports, Stool Reports, and Semen Analysis now return all 15–25+ rows from the result table, not just the numeric subset.
Specimen Date & Time Extraction: The AI now distinguishes between specimen/sample collection date (when the sample was physically taken) and report/print date (when the paperwork was issued). The specimen collection date and time are preferred for measurement timestamps, with the report date used only as a fallback. This ensures clinical accuracy when dates differ.
Intelligent Unit Detection: When the AI detects a biomarker reading with a unit that differs from the current default (e.g., the report shows glucose in mmol/L but your default is mg/dL), LogiCura automatically:
- Saves the measurement using the AI-detected unit of measure
- Updates the biomarker's default unit so future manual entries use the same unit
- This applies to both existing biomarkers and newly discovered biomarkers from the report
You can also add detailed clinical notes to any measurement with + Add note.
Tip: For best results, ensure the photo is well-lit, flat, and all text is readable.
4.7 Editing & Deleting Measurements
Edit Distance — delete icon, Source: Health Connect pill and Update Entry Edit Distance — the reading's own date and time
- Tap a log in a biomarker's history, the Biomarker Timeline or Home's Recent Logs to open it in edit mode. The sheet is titled "Edit {biomarker}" (e.g. "Edit Distance").
- A Source pill on the biomarker card shows where the reading came from (for example Source: Health Connect).
- Modify the value, unit, timing context, category, date, time or notes. The Date and Time fields show the reading's own date and time.
- Tap Update Entry to save.
- To delete, tap the red 🗑️ Delete icon next to ✕ at the top of the sheet and confirm.

7.3 AI-Powered OCR & Enrichment
Critical flags banner and the AI Extraction card with its Extracted Summary AI Extraction — What This Means and Clinical Analysis
Clinical documents go through a two-stage AI processing pipeline. Each page then gets an AI Extraction card under the thumbnail strip:
- An "AI Enriched" pill and a chip naming the AI model used (e.g.
baichuan-m3-v1) - Extracted Summary — the text read from the page
- What This Means — a plain-language explanation of the page
- Clinical Analysis — the clinical interpretation
- A red banner, "Critical flags detected in this attachment. Review the extraction results carefully.", above the card when the AI flags a critical result
Stage 1: Gemini Flash 3 Preview (OCR)
- Extracts text from each document page image
- Identifies structured data (values, dates, names)
- Auto-detects document category, type, date, and time
- Extracts specimen/sample collection date separately from report print date
- Detects specimen type (e.g., Urine, Blood, Serum, Stool)
Stage 2: Baichuan-M3 (Clinical Enrichment)
- Analyzes extracted text with medical AI
- Classifies findings, identifies abnormalities
- Generates a structured clinical summary
- Detects prescriptions — If the document contains drug prescriptions, a Prescription Review Dialog is shown automatically (see below)
- Detects biomarker lab results — If the document contains biomarker readings, a Biomarker Review Dialog (AI Observations) is shown automatically
The processing status is shown with indicators:
- ⏳ Pending — Waiting for processing
- 🔄 Processing — AI is analyzing (revolving progress indicator on thumbnail)
- ✅ Complete — AI analysis finished
- ⚠️ Failed — Processing error (tap Re-Analyze to retry)
- UNPROCESSED — Document not yet processed (amber label shown above thumbnail)
Non-Clinical Document Detection: If the AI classifies an attached document as non-clinical (UNCLASSIFIED), a "Non-Clinical Document" warning dialog appears. The user is warned that AI biomarker/prescription review dialogs will not be shown, and can choose to discard the attachment or keep it without AI analysis.
No-Internet Alert: If AI processing fails because the device is offline, a "No Internet" alert dialog prompts you to reconnect and retry.
Prescription Review Dialog
When the AI detects drug prescriptions in a clinical document, a Prescription Review Dialog appears automatically after processing:
- The dialog lists all extracted medications with details:
- Drug name, form (tablet, capsule, etc.), strength, and dosage
- Frequency (once daily, twice daily, etc.) and food context (before food, with food, after food)
- Each medication has a checkbox (all selected by default)
- A duration toggle lets you choose between "Short Term" (temporary) and "Long Term" (ongoing) for all selected medications.
- Tap "Proceed" to add selected medications directly to your medication tracker.
- A confirmation toast shows how many medications were added (e.g., "3 medications added as long-term").
This eliminates the need to manually search for and add each medication after receiving a prescription.
Biomarker Review Dialog
When the AI detects biomarker lab results in a clinical document, a Biomarker Review Dialog (AI Observations) appears automatically:
- Lists all detected biomarker readings with values and units.
- Separates known biomarkers (already in your catalog) from newly discovered biomarkers.

- Total — the meal's calories, a pill showing whether it fits today's budget (or how many kcal it is over), and the share of the day's goal for protein, carbs, fat and fiber
- Tap Save Meal. The meal appears in the Meal Log and the Daily Summary.
The same Review your meal screen is used for meals built in Add Meal, without the photo.
10. Clinical Advisor (AI Health Insights)
The Advisor tab opens the Clinical Advisor: your health trajectory, a question-and-answer chat with Gemini, and Log Condition. Full clinical reports live on the Clinical Reports screen, opened with Full Clinical Report.
10.1 Clinical Advisor Screen
Advisor — Current Health Trajectory card and the question bar Advisor — companion greeting and Log Condition
- Current Health Trajectory — a direction (Improving ↗, Stable or Declining ↘) from today's Health Score compared with 7 days ago, and a summary line ("Your wellness score rose 4.2% over the last 7 days, led by …"). Premium users get a short AI summary; everyone else sees the same comparison as a template. Until there are scores from both days it says "We need a few more days of readings to show your trend." Full Clinical Report opens Clinical Reports
- Companion — "Hey {first name}, how are you feeling today?" and "Your personal clinical companion synced with your own vitals"
- Log Condition — add short-term conditions (a cold, jet lag, recovering from surgery) as context for your questions (see 10.3)
- Ask anything… — the question bar at the bottom, with a 🎤 microphone and a send button
- Conversation — your questions and the advisor's answers, once you ask something
⭐ Premium Feature: The chat and Log Condition require Premium. Free users see the trajectory and an upgrade card instead of the question bar.
10.2 Asking the Clinical Advisor
Advisor conversation — a question and the advisor's answer
- Type a question in the Ask anything… bar at the bottom (or tap the 🎤 microphone, when your phone supports speech input).
- Tap send (↑) or press Enter. Your question appears on the right and the answer below it, under the note "AI guidance only — not a diagnosis." If it fails, tap Tap to retry.
- Ask follow-up questions; the advisor remembers the conversation so far. Answers refer to your own data — for example your conditions, medications, sleep and steps.
- New conversation in the ⋮ menu (top right, shown once a conversation has started) clears the thread.
The advisor answers from your profile, chronic conditions, allergies, active medications, your latest readings and the 7-day score trend, your most recent clinical report, your nutrition for the last 7 days, and any conditions you logged.
- Your conversation is not saved. It stays while you switch tabs, and is gone when you close and reopen the app.
- Up to 50 questions a day.
- Questions can be up to 1,000 characters.
- Answers are informational, not medical advice.
10.3 Log Condition
Log Condition — a selected condition and the condition categories Log Condition — Additional context, CONFIRM & ANALYZE and Discard entry
Log Condition lists temporary conditions under Condition Categories: Acute Illness, Digestive Issues, Pain & Discomfort, Respiratory, Allergic Reactions, Injury & Trauma, Mental Health, Medical Events, Lifestyle Changes and Reproductive.
- Tap a category to expand it, and check the conditions that apply. Each one appears under Selected as a pill; tap its ✕ to remove it.
- Optionally describe how you're feeling under Additional context (up to 500 characters).
- Confirm.
Where you opened it decides what happens next:
- From the Clinical Advisor (button CONFIRM): the conditions appear as removable pills above the conversation and are used as context for your questions. Edit reopens the list with your choices. Nothing is saved, and no report is generated.
- From Clinical Reports → Generate New Report (button CONFIRM & ANALYZE, as in the screenshots): the conditions go into a new clinical report (see 10.4). Discard entry leaves without generating a report.
10.4 Clinical Reports
Clinical Reports — Generate New Analysis card Clinical Reports — filters and the latest generated report
Clinical Reports — Reports Archive Clinical Reports — end of the archive and the Clinical Safety Standard note
Clinical Reports ("AI-synthesized longitudinal diagnostic reports and multi-biomarker evaluations.") is your report timeline:
- Generate New Analysis card — "Evaluates new biometric data collected since your last analysis":
- "n biomarkers changed since last analysis", with a pill per biomarker showing how many new readings it has (e.g. "Heart Rate × 162")
- Biomarkers to process — each biomarker's latest value with a green / yellow / red dot for how far it is from normal
- Changes to medications, clinical documents, chronic conditions and allergies (e.g. "2 Medications Added")
- Generate New Report — pick temporary conditions, then CONFIRM & ANALYZE (see 10.3). The AI typically takes 15–45 seconds
- One report per 24 hours. Within 24 hours of your last report the button shows a countdown ("Next report available in 5h 12m"); tapping explains when the next one is available
- Search ("Search by date, biomarker, summary…") and filter pills: All Reports (n), one per year (e.g. 2026) and Flagged Markers
- Latest Generated Report (with its date) — "Clinical Report #NN" and its time, the health score ring (e.g. "86/100") with a range pill ("Optimal Stability Range", "Moderate Range" or "Needs Review"), up to three flagged markers, the AI summary, View Full Report and Share / PDF
- Reports Archive (sorted by recency) — each older report with its date and time, score pill ("63/100"), "n Flagged Markers", a change pill ("13 biomarker changes" or "No major changes") and View Report
- Clinical Safety Standard — a closing note that reports are AI-generated from the data you record, meant to support conversations with a licensed clinician, and are not a medical diagnosis
What a report considers:
- Biomarker data since your last report, with 60-day baselines
- Active medications, clinical document summaries, chronic and temporary conditions, allergies and profile (age, sex, height, weight, BMI, ethnicity)
- Your most recent report only (for trend comparison)
- Your nutrition for the last 7 days (left out when you logged no meals)
No Significant Changes Detection: If nothing important changed since the last report, a dialog explains that a new analysis isn't necessary at this time.
Report health score: each report gets a 0–100 score from the status of the markers it assessed; a critical marker caps it at 54. Reports made before the update are scored the first time you open Clinical Reports.
⭐ Premium Feature: Clinical reports require an active Premium subscription.
10.5 Full Clinical Report
View Full Report opens Clinical Report #NN:
- Score header and a medical disclaimer box
- Full report containing:
- Executive summary
- Biomarker-by-biomarker analysis
- Trend observations (compared with your previous report)
- Risk factors
- Actionable recommendations
- Areas requiring clinical attention
Note: For optimum stable results, use the app for at least 60 days. Biometric delta analysis (60-day baselines) appears in reports once enough history is available.
10.6 Report Chat
Below a full report, you can ask follow-up questions about that report:
- Type a question (e.g., "What does my HbA1c trend mean?") and tap Send.
- The AI answers using the report and your health profile.
- Unlike the Clinical Advisor conversation, report chat is saved with the report. Each report allows 10 questions, with a one-time Request More for 5 more.
10.7 Sharing & Exporting Reports
Share / PDF (on the report card or the full report) generates a PDF of the report and opens the share sheet (email, messaging apps, etc.). If the PDF can't be created, the report is shared as text.
11. Health Alerts
The Health Alerts system automatically monitors your biomarker values and warns you when readings fall outside safe ranges. Alerts are generated in the background — no manual action is needed.
11.1 Automatic Out-of-Range Detection
LogiCura monitors your biomarker values in real time and through periodic background checks:
Immediate Check (Real-Time): Every time you save a biomarker measurement or new data is synced from Health Connect, LogiCura immediately checks the value against its clinical reference range and generates alerts if the value is out of range. There is no delay — alerts are created in real time.
Periodic Background Check (Every 6 Hours): Additionally, a background worker runs approximately every 6 hours (requires network connectivity) as a safety net to catch any values that may have been missed. This worker:
- Reviews all biomarker measurements recorded in the last 24 hours.
- Compares each value against its clinical reference range (adjusted for your age, sex, and ethnicity).
- Assigns a severity level based on how far the value deviates from the normal range:
| Severity | Badge on Health Alerts | Home banner label | Condition | Example |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 🔴 DANGER | CRITICAL PRIORITY | ACTION REQUIRED | Value is critically outside the normal range (>20% deviation) | Fasting glucose of 250 mg/dL (normal: 70–100) |
| 🟡 WARNING | ELEVATED TREND | ELEVATED TREND | Value is moderately outside the normal range (≤20% deviation) | Systolic BP of 145 mmHg (normal: ≤120) |
| ℹ️ INFO | MONITOR | MONITOR | Value is slightly outside normal or worth noting | LDL cholesterol of 135 mg/dL (normal: <130) |
- Creates a Health Alert record for each out-of-range biomarker.
- Sends an Android push notification if new alerts are generated.
- Generates AI clinical insights for each alert (Premium users).
Note: The periodic background check runs automatically using Android WorkManager. The immediate check runs as a coroutine whenever you save a measurement. Both methods produce the same alert types.
11.2 Health Alerts Screen
Health Alerts — disclaimer and a CRITICAL PRIORITY card with the Premium upgrade prompt Health Alerts — a MONITOR card with an AI Clinical Insight
Navigate to the Health Alerts screen by:
- Tapping Review on the critical alert banner on Home, or
- Tapping the Health Alerts notification
A note at the top reminds you that the AI-generated analysis is for information only and is not medical advice. Below it, the screen displays all unresolved (unacknowledged) alerts, sorted by severity:
- CRITICAL PRIORITY (danger) alerts appear first, on a red card
- ELEVATED TREND (warning) alerts next (amber)
- MONITOR (info) alerts last (blue badge)
Each alert card shows:
- Biomarker name and when the alert was raised ("Just now", "9m ago", "Yesterday")
- Severity badge — CRITICAL PRIORITY, ELEVATED TREND or MONITOR
- Recorded value and unit (e.g. "3.2 hours")
- Normal range (e.g. "7 – 9")
- Range bar — a dot showing where the value falls relative to the shaded normal range
- AI Clinical Insight — a short AI explanation of what the reading means for you (⭐ Premium). Free users see a locked card: "Personalised AI analysis of your out-of-range biomarkers requires Premium access." with Upgrade to Premium →
- Acknowledge button (see 11.5)
11.3 AI Clinical Insights
For Premium users, each health alert includes an AI-generated clinical insight powered by Gemini Flash:
- The AI considers your full patient context: age, sex, ethnicity, chronic conditions, current medications, known allergies, and recent biomarker trends.
- Insights provide contextual interpretation — for example, if you're on blood pressure medication and your reading is slightly elevated, the AI may note this and suggest monitoring rather than alarm.
- Insights are generated automatically when the alert is created by the background worker.
Free users see a locked AI Clinical Insight card with Upgrade to Premium → instead of AI insights. Alert detection and notifications work for all users regardless of subscription tier.
11.4 Android Push Notifications
When new health alerts are generated, LogiCura sends an Android notification through the dedicated Health Alerts notification channel:
- Notifications have high importance with vibration.
- Tapping the notification deep-links directly to the Health Alerts screen.
- You can customize notification behavior (sound, vibration, DND override) in Android's notification settings for the "Health Alerts" channel.
11.5 Dismissing & Resolving Alerts
To dismiss (acknowledge) a health alert, tap Acknowledge on its card, or:
- Swipe the alert card from right to left (end-to-start swipe).
- A red background with a dismiss icon animates into view.
- Release the swipe to dismiss the alert.
- The alert is marked as resolved and removed from the list.
Alternatively, alerts are automatically resolved when:
- You generate a new clinical report (Advisor → Full Clinical Report → Generate New Report) — all current out-of-range biomarkers are processed and cleared.
- The biomarker value returns to the normal range in a subsequent check.
Tip: Even after dismissing an alert, the historical record is preserved. If the same biomarker remains out of range in the next 6-hour check, a new alert will be generated.

- Bypass Do Not Disturb to ensure critical medications are never missed
15. Cloud Backup & Sync
LogiCura's cloud sync system ensures your health data is always safely backed up and available across devices.
How Sync Works:
- Initial Restore — When you sign in on a new device, a full data restore downloads all your data from Firebase Firestore (see Section 2.3).
- Upload-Only Sync — After the initial restore, all subsequent sync cycles are upload-only. Local changes are pushed to Firestore, but data is never pulled from the cloud. This ensures the local database is always the source of truth.
- Periodic Sync — A background worker runs approximately every 15 minutes to push pending changes.
- Immediate Sync — When you create, update, or delete any health record (measurement, medication, condition, etc.), an immediate sync is triggered.
- Binary File Sync — Attachments (document photos, profile avatar) are synced via Firebase Storage separately from text data.
What is synced:
- All biomarker measurements and notes
- Clinical documents and page images
- Medications, allergies, chronic conditions
- AI analysis reports and chat history
- Profile data and avatar photo
- Custom biomarker definitions
- Health alert records
- Alarm configurations
- Medication dose check-offs, emergency contacts, family history, insurance policies and water intake
⭐ Premium Feature: Cloud Backup & Sync requires an active Premium subscription.
Note: Data download from Firestore happens exclusively via the full restore flow during initial setup on a fresh device. The periodic sync never downloads data — it only uploads local changes.

18. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
General
Q: Is my health data secure? A: Your records are stored on your phone, and Android's own backup of the app is turned off. Premium users' records are backed up to their own LogiCura cloud account, which only that signed-in account can read. LogiCura uses Firebase App Check with Play Integrity for API security. Delete Account removes your data from the phone and the cloud.
Q: Can I use LogiCura offline? A: Yes. All core features (biomarker tracking, viewing history, dashboard) work offline. AI analysis and cloud sync require an internet connection.
Q: What Android version is required? A: LogiCura requires Android 9 (API 28) or higher. Health Connect features require Android 14+ (or the Health Connect app installed on Android 9–13).
Biomarker Tracking
Q: How many biomarkers can I track? A: LogiCura supports 19,000+ built-in biomarkers across 38 medical categories plus unlimited custom biomarkers you create yourself.
Q: Can I import lab results automatically? A: Yes! Attach a photo of your lab report and use the AI Document Processing feature. The AI will extract and suggest biomarker values for you to confirm. The AI now supports qualitative and semi-quantitative results (e.g., "Positive", "Negative", "Trace", "NIL") in addition to numeric values, so full panel reports like Urine Full Reports are fully extracted.
Q: Can I import prescriptions automatically? A: Yes! When you attach a prescription document in the Clinical Documents screen, the AI automatically detects medications and presents a Prescription Review Dialog where you can select which drugs to add to your medication tracker. Drug name, dosage, frequency, and food context are all extracted automatically.
Q: What if my biomarker isn't in the list? A: Go to Settings → Biomarker Management → Add Custom Biomarker and create your own with custom name, unit, and reference ranges.
Health Connect
Q: Which devices work with Health Connect? A: Any device or app that supports Google Health Connect, including Samsung Health, Fitbit, Google Fit, Withings, Garmin Connect, and many smartwatches.
Q: How often does Health Connect sync? A: You can choose Manual (on-demand), Auto (on app open), or Scheduled sync from the Health Connect Hub.
AI Advisor
Q: How accurate is the AI analysis? A: The AI uses the Baichuan-M3 medical model, which is trained on clinical data. However, AI analysis is for informational purposes only and should not replace professional medical advice. Always discuss results with your doctor.
Q: Can I ask follow-up questions? A: Yes. Ask the Clinical Advisor anything about your health data (up to 50 questions a day; the conversation is not saved when you close the app). Each clinical report also has its own chat, which is saved with the report.
Q: How often can I generate a clinical report? A: Once every 24 hours. Clinical Reports shows when the next one is available.
Q: Can I switch to a dark theme? A: No. LogiCura has a single light theme and stays light even when your phone uses dark mode.
Health Alerts
Q: How often does LogiCura check for out-of-range biomarkers? A: LogiCura checks immediately every time you save a biomarker measurement or when new data is synced from Health Connect. There is no periodic delay — alerts are generated in real time.
Q: Do Health Alerts work for free users? A: Yes! Alert detection and Android notifications work for all users. Only the AI clinical insights within each alert card require a Premium subscription.
Q: How do I dismiss a health alert? A: Swipe the alert card from right to left, or tap Acknowledge, on the Health Alerts screen. Generating a new clinical report also resolves all current alerts.
Q: Can I customize which biomarkers trigger alerts? A: Currently, all biomarkers with defined reference ranges are monitored automatically. Alerts are only generated when a value falls outside the normal range for your age, sex, and ethnicity.
Subscription
Q: How do I cancel my subscription? A: Go to Settings → Subscription & Plan and tap Manage in Google Play.
Q: What happens to my data if I cancel Premium? A: Premium stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for. After that, your locally stored data remains intact. Cloud sync will stop, but previously synced data is preserved. Premium features (alarms, clinical document creation, report attachments, custom biomarkers, medication reminders, Emergency Medical ID, clinical reports, the Clinical Advisor chat, Health Alert AI insights) become inaccessible until you resubscribe.
Q: How do I know if a feature requires Premium? A: When you tap a Premium-gated feature as a free user, you will be automatically redirected to the Subscription screen. Premium features are marked with ⭐ throughout this guide.
Q: Can I get Premium without a subscription? A: No. Premium comes with a Monthly or Yearly subscription through Google Play. The only exception is review accounts the LogiCura team sets up for app store review; signing in with an email and password does not by itself grant Premium.
Cloud & Sync
Q: Can I skip the cloud restore when signing in on a new device? A: No. If cloud data exists for your account, the restore is mandatory to ensure data consistency. The restore process shows a progress percentage and phase labels so you can monitor progress.
Q: Does LogiCura download data from the cloud periodically? A: No. After the initial restore on a new device, all sync is upload-only. Your local database is always the source of truth, and changes are pushed to Firestore — never pulled.
